Update: July 12, 10:33 p.m. It seems as though Diltz received the vote of approval at the neighborhood zoning meeting.

Adam Diltz, Johnny Brenda's chef for the past two years, is aiming to open a 30-seat BYOB with outdoor seating at 1007 Frankford Avenue in 2017.

"It will be called Elwood," said Diltz of his project, "The style of food will be based on the Mid-Atlantic/Pennsylvania region."

Elwood will be directly across the street from Philly's new entertainment venue The Fillmore — his wife Jenny Ko and sister-in-law own the building and lot, plus Ko is the architect designing the space. Right now, he's in zoning-approval mode, so on July 12, head to Fishtown Rec (1210 E. Montgomery Avenue) to take part in the neighborhood meeting.
