In Fishtown's already poppin' pizza scene comes a new contender: SLiCE. Owners Marlo and Jason Dilks are bringing their Trenton-style pizza shop (with locations already in South Philly, Rittenhouse and South Jersey) concept north to 431 E. Girard Avenue (formerly Art of Pizza) sometime in August.

This version will be all-organic, which means organic flour, tomato sauce, produce, dressings, balsamic, olive oil, chicken, wings, and non-GMO cooking oils. And for the sake of continuity, by the end of this year, the other shops will make the switch to organic-only as well.

Like its sister-concept, P'unk Burger (on Passyunk Avenue), Maine Root natural soda will pour from the fountain, plus a fridge full of Mexican Coke, natural tea and other organic drinks.

Owners Marlo and Jason Dilks, with soon-to-be five restaurants, are announcing a sixth later this year. Stay tuned for details.
