The Bok School's Rooftop Bar is BACK for Summer 2016

It opens tomorrow

Remember last year when Philly got one of the best rooftop bars this city's ever seen? Earlier today, Philly.com announced that tomorrow, July 7, is the official re-opening of Bok Technical High School's rooftop bar, and this year, it's got a new name: Bok Bar.

Last year's Bok roof had a bit of a Parisian twist with Courtney Dow and Vince Joseph's (who now own Center City's Fine Palate) catering services, and this year, Scout Ltd. owner Lindsey Scannapieco opted for the Southeast Asian/Pacific Islander route: Vietnamese and Filipino bar bites by chef Ronan Libunao. Check out the drink and food menus here.

The rooftop's open Tuesday through Sunday, weather depending, and the bar stays open till 11 p.m. earlier in the week, 1 a.m. on Thursdays, and 2 a.m. on weekends. You must be 21 to be allowed access to the roof, but Sundays are for family-time: between noon and 6 p.m., children are welcome as long as they're accompanied by adults.

According to the reportScout Ltd. is already planning for a permanent indoor restaurant to accompany the makers and crafters renting space within the school's mixed-use facilities.
