Eat Hand Rolls and Chicken Skin at Fairmount's Japanese House & Garden This Weekend

FAIRMOUNT PARK —  Shofuso House, Philly's Japanese tea house and garden, is hosting chef Hiroyuki "Zama" Tanaka all weekend (July 8-10) for its rendition of Parks On Tap. Coinciding with Shofuso's Tanabata celebration (free admission), Zama will serve Temaki hand rolls stuffed with salmon, tuna, or guacamole, and chicken skin with coZara-made green sriracha to munch on while enjoying Japanese kamishibai storytelling, traditional musical instrument demonstrations, origami and calligraphy.

FISHTOWN — In conjunction with Home Brewed Events, Evil Genius Beer Company is hosting a summer-long celebration beer garden (1727-31 N Front Street) in honor of their upcoming brewery opening in Kensington, and it launches this weekend (July 8-10). Tonight, July 8, under the El, the crew's partying with live music by Evan Cory Levine from 5-10 p.m. Tomorrow, July 9, they'll be pop-up brewing and playing games all day, and later in the evening, enjoy a free screening of American Pie 2.
