Peter McAndrew's (Modo Mio, Monsu, Heffe Tacos, and La Porta) famous "Philly-style" sandwich shop, Paesano's, with locations in the Italian Market, Northern Liberties, and Margate, NJ, opened its first university campus location at 2012 North Broad Street, according to a report by Foobooz.
A few months ago, McAndrews divulged some details to Billy Penn about the new Temple location, even revealing his masterplan to open a Paesano's shop on every campus in the city, then region, and then "who knows?" On Temple's campus, there's both indoor and outdoor seating, late night hours (till 3 a.m. Thursdays thought Saturdays), and an expanded menu, but no milkshakes just yet.
Up in Northern Liberties, the shop closed temporarily for a move just two doors down from its original location (from 152 West Girard Avenue to 148 West Girard Avenue). As of this morning, the NoLibs Paesano's is officially reopened on the ground floor of a "newly constructed mixed-use building" with "seating for more than 20."
