NORTH BROAD STREET — Chef Joe Cicala, East Passyunk's Italian champion (chef and co-owner of Brigantessa and Le Virtu), is joining in on Marc Vetri's 10x10x10 Osteria anniversary series with a special, $100 5-course meal prepared by Cicala and Vetri together. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9. Make your reservations by calling 215-763-0920.

MARKET EAST — Starting this Tuesday, August 9, and every Tuesday through September 13, Di Bruno Bros. at The Franklin will hold their Culture Club, a newly-installed beer and cheese class which pairs quite nicely with their new bottle shop. A five-course pairing menu goes from 6-7:30 p.m., while third-generation owner Emilio Mignucci and Di Bruno sommelier/cicerone Jeff DiMaio lead a discussion about the cheeses, their stories, and the ways they pair. It's like Di Bruno Bros. After Hours, only you won't need to gather a group to attend.

FISHTOWNWm. Mulherin's Sons, which just landed on Bon Appetit's latest Best New Restaurants list, is hosting a special, all-sparkling happy hour on Tuesday, August 9, from 5-7 p.m. The entire Italian-heavy menu (think franciacorta, contratto, prosecco and pignoletto) is just $9, plus, three-bell chef Chris Painter will prepare some bubbly-friendly snacks to accompany the event.
