Wahlburgers Finally Opened in Northern Liberties

Government cheese burgers and fluffanuttas arrive to The Schmidt's Commons

Yesterday afternoon, right at the northern tip of The Schmidt's Commons (formerly known as The Piazza at Schmidt's) where Germantown Avenue and 2nd Street intersect, Wahlburgers opened its doors to the burger-loving Northern Liberties crowds.

According to a comment underneath the above Facebook post, it's still just a soft-opening, with a "grand opening party" soon to come (look out for a Wahlberg brother cameo):

The last Eater heard, Paul, Mark, and Donnie Wahlberg's reality show burger chain, with nine other locations already in Orlando, Massachusetts (duh), Vegas, New York, and Toronto, was set to open its brick-and-mortar space two weeks ago in the old Darling's Diner space inside the Realto at 1033 North 2nd Street. It took two weeks longer, but the store is now open daily, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. through the week, till 1 a.m. on weekends, and till 10 p.m. on Sundays.

The menu (below) is chock full of dropped-Rs and preferred menu items from each Wahlberg family member. Unfortunately, no adult frappes at this location:
