Just in time for shopping shenanigans, Iron Chef Jose Garces is opening a second location of Buena Onda at the King of Prussia mall. The taco shop is slated to open the day after Thanksgiving, aka Black Friday. The original Buena Onda is at 1901 Callowhill Street in the Art Museum neighborhood, on the ground floor of The Granary apartment building.

The new Buena Onda will be in the Savor section of the ever-growing mall’s expansion corridor. According to the restaurant, it’s “inspired by the Baja peninsula's culture, seafood, shacks, and taquerias.” A Center City location of Buena Onda is also in the works, but there’s no word on the timeline for that one just yet — though the restaurant says it’s still moving forward, just not as quickly as the King of Prussia shop.

Look for tacos stuffed with fish, shrimp, carnitas, or chicken, plus “mission-style” quesadillas and chips and guacamole. The sustainably sourced fish is selected in partnership with Seafood Watch. A kids menu includes tacos and chicken quesadillas.

To drink, there are house-made aguas frescas, Boylan's Fountain Sodas, Mexican Coke, and bottled water.

The restaurant will donate 50 cents from every bottled water and every guac purchase to the non-profit Garces Foundation, which supports Philly’s immigrant community.

It opens November 24 at 11 a.m.
