Everything Michael Solomonov touches turns to gold, and Sweetgreen is getting in on that action. The salad chain and the chef behind Zahav, Federal Donuts, and the brand-new, all-vegan Goldie are teaming up on a limited-time, Israeli-inspired bowl, available only at Sweetgreen shops in the Philly area, from April 28 through the end of May.
The Zahav Bowl ($9.95) is a mix of hot chickpeas, kale, turmeric-roasted cauliflower, roasted chicken, shredded carrots, almonds, and Sweetgreen’s housemade hot sauce, dubbed “The Heat.” It’s finished with two new-to-Sweetgreen toppings developed with Solomonov: a dill and mint combo and a lemon-dill-tahini dressing.
Solomonov joins an all-star lineup with this collab: Sweetgreen has partnered on menu items with notable chefs from New York, D.C., and Los Angeles, along with hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar for a Beets Don’t Kale My Vibe bowl (a play on his “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” — go listen).
