It looks like the corner of 15th and Locust is getting a new tenant. There’s a liquor license application sign up in the window of what was until recently a Cosi. The application calls for a restaurant with a ground floor, a mezzanine, and outdoor seating in the form of two sidewalk cafes, one on Locust Street and one along 15th.
The licensee is Alice of PA LLC and listed on the application as Alice. The license is coming from Route 6 Restaurant Partners LP. Route 6 was a seafood restaurant on North Broad from Stephen Starr, shuttered in early 2014. Starr is the restauranteur behind Parc, Buddakan, The Continental, Barclay Prime, Jones, and other hits in Philly, along with acclaimed spots in New York and Paris.
Stay tuned, we’ll update this story as we get more information.
Editor’s Note: This story originally indicated that Stephen Starr and his business partners would be opening something new at the location, and has been corrected to indicate they are transferring the license elsewhere.
