Dallas-based high end restaurant chain Del Frisco’s is beefing up its presence in Philadelphia — a Del Frisco’s Grille is set to open in Center City in 2018.
It’ll be just a few blocks from first (and only) Del Frisco’s in the city, with the official press release stating it will be part of the currently under construction Cambria Hotel and Suites at Broad and Locust.
Del Frisco’s Grille is the more casual of the company’s two chains, so the new restaurant will be somewhat different to the Chestnut and 15th Del Frisco’s, which is a more formal Double Eagle Steakhouse (although the two overlap in terms of offering quite meaty fare).
The space will be hefty — 7,260 square feet, and seating 230 people (plus another 65 if private dining rooms and the patio are added in). It’s part of a multi-city expansion for the Texas company that includes new restaurants in Boston and Atlanta.
The company only mentioned that Del Frisco’s Grille will open in 2018; Philly Chit Chat’s Hughe Dillon notes that it will be in the first quarter of the year.
