Philadelphia’s upcoming East Market development just keeps adding more eateries to its lineup. The latest: Federal Donuts, the hit fried chicken and doughnut chain, will open at East Market in 2019.
The development runs from Market to Chestnut Streets and from 11th to 12th, with offices, apartments, shops, and restaurants. Along with Federal Donuts, grocery store Mom’s Organic Market, the first Iron Hill Brewery in Center City, Wawa, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, and District Taco, a fast-casual taco shop out of Washington, D.C., are also signed on. A Shake Shack will open nearby.
This will be the seventh location for Federal Donuts. The popular Philly chain — from Mike Solomonov and Steve Cook (of Zahav, Goldie, Abe Fisher, Dizengoff) and Felicia D’Ambrosio, Tom Henneman, and Bob Logue — serves only doughnuts and fried chicken.
