Attico, the new rooftop restaurant coming to the Cambria hotel on Broad Street in Center City, is shooting for a mid-July opening. The owners were originally hoping to have it ready ahead of the hotel’s grand opening event on June 20, but construction delays revised the timeline. The hotel has been operating since March; the exact opening date for Attico hasn’t been firmed up just yet. For those who can’t wait until next month, here are other rooftop bars to check out now.

When Attico opens, at 219 S. Broad Street, it will seat around 140, with about a third of those seats outside for al fresco eating and drinking. The name means attic in Italian, but the menu leans Mediterranean and contemporary American.

Meanwhile, in South Philly, there’s another indoor/outdoor Mediterranean restaurant in the works. Irwin’s in the Bok building is shooting for a July 3 opening, Philly.com reports. It’s setting up shop on the eighth floor of the school-turned-restaurant-and-retail-venue at 1901 S. 9th Street. Bok is already a popular drinks destination thanks to its seasonal rooftop bar with sweeping city views. It also houses artist studios, offices, yoga and boxing centers, a new coffee shop, and, soon, Irwin’s, with its industrial decor and rooftop deck perfect for sipping cocktails outside.
