When the Philadelphia Eagles return to Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, September 6, the team’s namesake doughnut will return to Philly’s favorite fried chicken and doughnut shop. Federal Donuts is bringing back The Iggle for just one day.

Federal Donuts’ chef Matt Fein and managing partner Tom Henneman — who co-owns the local chain with Mike Solomonov, Steve Cook, Felicia D’Ambrosio, and Bob Logue — came up with the idea for the green doughnut just before the Eagles’ 2018 Super Bowl win (and they weren’t the only ones creating Eagles-themed eats).

The Iggle, which falls into Federal Donuts’ “fancy” category, is a cake doughnut with a kelly green glaze, sprinkled with green and silver sugar.

On September 6, it will be sold at all four Philly standalone shops: in Center City (1632 Sansom Street), West Philly (3428 Sansom Street), South Philly (1219 S. 2nd Street), and North Philly (701 N. 7th Street). It’s going for $2.75, or get six for $13 or 12 for $24. Pre-order here. Eagles-Federal Doughnuts T-shirts ($25) will also be sold in the four stores and online.

In other Federal Donuts news, look for a new shop on 6th and South streets to open later this month. Go Birds.
