FCM Hospitality, the bar and restaurant group behind Morgan’s Pier, Parks on Tap, and others, just opened Craft Hall at 901 N. Delaware Avenue in the former Yards Brewing Co. The big new multi-part venue includes food, beer, games, live music, and a pirate ship-themed playground, which FCM says is “for kids and adults alike.”
Philly first got a taste of Craft Hall at a holiday pop-up outside City Hall. Next, Mainstay Independent Brewery set up shop, and Lost Bread Co. moved in. And now the whole thing is open, with a full kitchen, two bars, and seats for more than 500.
To eat, executive chef Justin Koenig is cooking an all-American menu of fried chicken, grilled cheese, pulled pork sandwiches, hush puppies, and the like, plus vegan options. The menu is limited for now but will expand. Look for brunch to be added soon.
Diners can watch everything — the beer, bread, and food — being made via big windows.

Craft Hall also includes lawn games, vintage Nintendo video games, and a stage for live music. In the spring, the venue will roll up the garage doors and add outdoor seating. Hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Along with Craft Hall, Morgan’s Pier, and Parks on Tap, FCM Hospitality runs Harper’s Garden, Rosy’s Taco Bar, Dolphin Tavern, Boxcar Beer Garden, and Concourse Dance Bar.
Yards relocated to 500 Spring Garden Street in 2017.
