Industry vet Richard Cusack is days away from opening his first restaurant June BYOB on Wednesday, August 21. Located at 1911 East Passyunk Avenue, the newcomer will serve a mix of classic and contemporary French fare. Christina Cusack (Richard’s wife) will run the front of house operations while Richard is in the kitchen.

Richard told Eater, “Well I’ve always wanted to open a restaurant ever since I decided to be a chef. It’s just always been a dream for me to learn as much as I could under great chefs and to one day open a place of my own and show to all the chefs that took time to teach me that there time wasn’t wasted and to make them proud.”

Richard spent time in the kitchens at Le Bec-Fin, Stephen Starr’s Parc, and Le Cheri.

Philadelphia magazine published a copy of the menu which includes seared foie gras with peach jam and a honey crepe, scallops with heirloom tomato and lobster, and braised rabbit with chanterelles and fava beans.
