Kismet Bagels, the husband-and-wife bagel co. that began last year as a quarantine pastime, shared today that this weekend they’ll be hosting a very special, very Philly pop-up. On Saturday and Sunday, the bagel company will be partnering with Nok Suntaranon from much-beloved Kalaya Thai Kitchen and Market in South Philly for a special Thai-style bagel pop-up. Preorders go live through Kalaya’s and Kismet’s websites at 9 a.m. today.

There will be three open-faced bagels on offer: a crab Rangoon-style curry bagel with lump crab, fish roe, wontons, and dill; a Pla Kamin curry bagel with turmeric whitefish schmear, microgreens, and kharee powder; and a blueberry bagel with rozelle jelly and blueberry lemongrass schmear. To get just the bagels and the schmear separately, preorders for Saturday pickup will be available through Kismet’s site. But walk-ups on Sunday are a possibility too: head to Kalaya Thai Market at 922 South 9th Street from 11:30 a.m. onwards to try your luck.
