In University City, Sunset Social at Cira Green serves burgers, hot dogs, and frozen cocktails on a grassy, partially tented rooftop. The venue also hosts guest chefs for pop-ups and a weekly dog-friendly happy hour with part of the proceeds donated to the PSPCA and the Morris Animal Refuge.

Stephen Starr’s Rittenhouse location of retro restaurant Continental has two big floors inside plus a roomy rooftop with indoor and outdoor spaces for sipping an Astronaut (vodka, peach liqueur, and Tang) above the city. The roof is open Fridays and Saturdays.

Located on top of the Cambria Hotel at Broad and Locust, the indoor/outdoor Attico brings the garden vibes with its hanging greenery and twinkling lights. It’s open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday. Reservations are recommended.

Rooftop bar Stratus, 11 stories up at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Old City, just reopened after a renovation. It’s still a lounge with DJs, but reservations are now required and social-distancing rules are in effect. It’s open Friday and Saturday evenings; Thursday hours will be added next week.

Revolution House

Revolution House’s second story features an outdoor deck, umbrella-topped tables, and greenery. The Old City restaurant is set in a former Quaker Friends Meetinghouse that dates back to 1798.

The Deck at the Moshulu
