This has been the summer of the lobster roll in Philadelphia, with chefs opening limited-time seafood pop-ups to bring a taste of the ocean to the city. Here are nine lobster rolls and other seafood sandwiches to order for takeout or delivery.

A number of Philly restaurants have resumed outdoor dining. If that’s an option, it’s noted on the map point. However, this should not be taken as endorsement for dining on-premises at restaurants, as there are still safety concerns. For updated information on coronavirus cases, visit the City of Philadelphia website. Studies indicate that there is a lower exposure risk when outdoors, but the level of risk involved with patio and sidewalk dining is contingent on restaurants following strict social distancing and other safety guidelines.
