It would have been hard to predict some of the food trends — sourdough bread, whipped coffee, garden focaccia — that emerged during this time of social distancing. But one truth is constant: People want ice cream.

Many of Philly’s top spots for ice cream are open for business in some capacity during the coronavirus-caused shutdown, offering delivery, curbside pickup, direct shipping, or even limited walk-in service. With ice cream cravings high, a few restaurants have gotten in on the game too, spinning up their own batches to sell on takeout menus.

These days of self-isolating can be long and boring. Use this guide to score a cold, sweet change of pace. Looking for dessert in the form of cookies, cakes, and cannoli? Find those here.
