The Best Bar & Restaurant T-Shirts in Philly

View as Map
These are some of the very best bar and restaurant t-shirts in Philly.

One of the defining characteristics of the Philly food and bar set is an undying dedication to ones favorite watering holes and restaurants, and an intense evangelism of said places to out-of-town visitors and blog/magazine lists. And, what better way to show your support other than wearing a t-shirt from your favorite spot, some of which are pretty damn cool in their own right.

To help you out, we've put together a list of our favorite shirts from across the city, from the well-known ones (Federal Donuts), to the classic spots we didn't even knew had shirts for sale (Drity Frank's, anyone?). Either way, there's a t-shirt for everyone, whether you're into clever joke-y slogans, or just want something cool to show off to your friends.

Think we missed a good one? Add it to the comments below and a link to how fellow readers can get a hold of one. Afterwards, we can load them all up into the biggest, fastest t-shirt cannon in the world, which shoots 100 shirts per minute and lives right here in Philly.

Vetri’s Italian gastropub brewed up shirts inspired by Italian soccer jerseys that are part of the servers’ uniforms for $30. They have phrases on them, like: “Give me a woman who drinks beer and I will conquer the world,” or “One who drinks beer will live to be 100 years old.”

Federal Donuts

“I went to Federal Donuts and all they had was this lousy T-shirt.” So read the original Federal Donuts tees. They’ve upped the ante with new shirts that say, “Why don’t you make more chicken?” Who doesn’t like some cheek in their loungewear?

Hot Diggity

Sweat Hawk Krall? Yeah, we do too. Hot Diggity sells his Philly Surf ‘n Turf menu item print as a shirt ($18).

Varga Bar

You know Varga’s scandalous pin-up girl calendars? They come in T-shirt form now, with “If you tap it, they will come” emblazoned over the image of a buxom young lady and a beer barrel.

Oyster House

You should pick up one of the Oyster House’s “Eat Oysters, Love Longer” T-shirts ($20, available at restaurant only) with 70s-style script and logo.

La Calaca Feliz

The food at Tim Spinner's La Calaca Feliz is pretty damned good, but the Rocky Steps-themed Calaca t-shirts are definitely worth the trip to Fairmount.

Cantina Dos Segundos

Both Los Caballitos and Dos Segundos sell T-shirts, but we're partial to the latter which suggests we all “Eat More Goat.” They’re $10 each.

Royal Tavern

The signature “Royal Burger” tee will set you back $12, but zero calories. The famed burger at this cult favorite gastropub, on the other hand, is another story. [Photo: Road Food]

Khyber Pass Pub

When not designing hot dog menus, Hawk Krall keeps himself busy designing T-shirts, apparently. Pick up a "Hawk Krall Po-Boy” tee at the Khyber for 10 bucks.

Milkboy Philadelphia

No clever slogans on MilkBoy’s tops for sale, but they’re worth a mention for being super-soft (they’re American Apparel brand) and of legit quality. There are hoodies ($35), V-necks and round necks ($10) in a variety of colors and sizes.

The Industry Bar

Have $20? Pick up a T-shirt that says: “We work more than you. We drink more than you. We eat parts of the pig that you won’t.”

Dirty Frank's

The Dirty Frank's shirt is simple, just the same as the bar. “Dirty Frank’s” on the front, “Cash Only” on the back. They’re $15. Need to know anything else? [Photo: Facebook]
