Federal Donuts

Holiday mornings demand donuts, so it's lucky that both Federal Donuts locations will be open on Christmas Eve. The following fancies will be available for the holiday: Gingerbread, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Crumberry, Milk Chocolate Sea Salt, Sticky Bun, and Cookies & Cream. You can pre-order both donuts and chicken if you want to ensure that you'll get what you want before they sell out. (Email orders@federaldonuts.com; order up to the day before, though more notice is requested for very large orders.)

Metropolitan Bakery

All of the Metro Bakery locations have some Christmas Eve hours (get the details here), to help with holiday desserts or brunch goodies. For some items, pre-order deadlines apply; all locations are closed on Christmas Day.

Le Virtù

Do Christmas Eve Italian in South Philly without the Seven Fishes. Take heart: you can still order as many fishes as you want, and pastry chef Angela Ranalli is sure to come through with her signature grandma-style desserts - what else could you want on Christmas Eve? (Right now, they're also taking orders for Ranalli's Christmas cookies by the pound!)
Mica in Chestnut Hill is putting on a lavish Feast of the Seven Fishes for Christmas Eve, including seven courses plus dessert. (See the menu right here.) The dishes may not be traditional (unless your nonna broke out the huckleberries and yuzu every Christmas Eve - hey, your nonna sounds fun!) but the spirit certainly is.
Fork will be open until 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, serving a Seven Fishes feast for $65 per person, including 5 starters served family-style, pasta, entree, and dessert. (Next door, High Street on Market will be open for Christmas Eve lunch. They're also taking orders for bread and some holiday specials including panforte and panettone.)
Though closing a bit earlier than usual (9 pm rather than 10), Garces' Old City flagship will be open for both lunch and dinner on Christmas Eve.

Lacroix Restaurant at The Rittenhouse

If you're going to go out on Christmas Day, you might as well go all out. Lacroix will put on an all-day holiday brunch from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (They're also open for normal hours on Christmas Eve.)

Vernick

Vernick Food and Drink is going classic for Christmas, running their normal menu and opening for their normal hours on Christmas Eve, and from 3 to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Parc Brasserie

Rittenhouse Square at Christmas is one of Philly's loveliest sights, giving Parc one seriously enviable view for the holidays. Fittingly, they'll be open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so you can make the most of it.

Citron & Rose

It's not a huge surprise that the Main Line glatt kosher spot would be open on Christmas Day and making the meal a little extra special. In addition to a number of favorites from their normal menu, they're adding a Christmas Day-only special: fried chicken and waffles with smoked maple syrup and braised kale.

Cantina Los Caballitos

The Cantina plans to open at 5 p.m. on Christmas Day, almost as if they somehow know how badly you are going to need a few margaritas after dinner with the family. Hmm.
